Projects
Did your semester go the way you had imagined? Why or why not?
My semester turned out to be an okay year. I had my ups and downs, but I still pulled through. Some examples, I worked hard on most of my projects and homework, but I also missed some things blogs that later dragged me to the bottom. List and elaborate on at least three areas of personal growth. Teamwork: I've grown in teamwork the most because I spent most of my time helping others, asking questions, and just working together with my peers. Efficiency: I've grown in efficiency because I work hard, turn in work, and repeat. Doing the same clean work for all my projects. Organization: I've grown in organization the least because I don't keep track of my work. I now just started using a log to keep track on upcoming work. List and elaborate on at least three areas of academic growth. Chemistry: I've grown in chemistry the most because I worked the hardest in that class. I learned and work on many things. Such as my blog posts about what we learned on that day. I was giving it my all. Math: I've grown in math because it helped me improve on my efficiency and my work completion. Humanities: I’ve grown in humanities the least because i haven’t really learned anything. I have been working hard but that’s it. Did you accomplish or move closer to accomplishing any goals you had at the beginning of the semester? If so, explain how, if not, explain why. I almost completed my goal of having all A’s in all my classes, I just missing a few things for one of my classes. I am now working towards getting my grade back up so I will have all A’s and be ready to do better for next semester.

State and describe two goals for next semester. One in an area of personal growth and one in an area of academic growth. Additionally, very specifically explain how you plan to accomplish them.
My first goal is to become more organized and keep track of my work, I can complete this by using a log or some other way remember due dates. Another goal I have is to talk more to my teachers and ask questions when I need to. Did you engage in our project and the work that surrounded it to the best of your ability? If yes, cite and explain examples, if no, reflect on why that was, and what could have been done differently to get you to engage. I gave this project my 100% attention and helped in any way possible. For example: my group had to make a magazine article about ocean acidification, how it affects the ocean, and other things we found during our research. What I did was I made sure everyone else completed their articles, and help them encase they were having trouble. If you could design and execute your own semester, your own project, what would it be and why? What would you hope others would learn from it?
For my class project, I would like to make posters about real world events. Students would group up and study about anything in history, so it gives a chance for students to learn new things about the world. What feedback do you have for us, Andrew and Adam? How could the project have been better? How could our individual classes have been better? Both and project: Together, it’s not really a combined class, it’s just a free work period. Since you guys give so much free time, us kids abuse it and do absolutely nothing. You guys should lower the free time and give students a goal to complete. The capstone project however, was great. It gave kids something to do and a different work style for everyone. Keep doing the capstone project. Andrew: Your class was great. I learned many new things and got to build rockets, but I think more hands on projects during your individual class. Not a lot, but some for most lesson, or those projects are the lesson. Either one is great. Adam: Your class was good. The only problem was it felt like I wasn’t learning anything. Maybe something we could learn about the world in the past? Or give students more socratic seminars. What feedback do you have for us, Andrew and Adam? How could the project have been better? How could our individual classes have been better? |
